As a gardener I hate squirrels. They dig up newly planted flowers. They dig holes in patio boxes to bury food. And to top it off, they started eating our peppers before they ripen!
The rainstorm raged against the house. Probably the worst storm of the season the wind whipped the pounding rain like a raging and ravenous beast. But Mother, Father and Greatgran felt safe and dry inside the house.
Even though I was never found guilty of any crime or breach of promise, the powers-that-be deprive me of my ability to serve God as an ordained minister. That’s another story. But the statement I gave when ordained on May 30, 1987 remains as true for me today as then.
What if truly following Christ meant being hated and rejected by the world?
