More than once people have come to my face and said they knew I was being persecuted. They knew it was wrong.
That said, they continued by saying they would not support me. Some told me to hire a lawyer (but didn’t offer to pay). The reason was clear. If these people supported me and justice, those who persecuted me would turn on them. They sidelined themselves because they had a business to protect, a career in the making, community traditions to follow.
Most of the time I stood without allies within the forum of unchristian conduct.
On the one hand I got what they meant, since I was the target for destruction and could not wish that on others. On the other hand, when those who belong to the council, committee, denomination, congregation that pursues the persecution relentlessly, vote for the action or do nothing, they are guilty of the crimes and sin of abuse.
They sided with those in power rather than with those who were in the right.
The reality is that they did not love as Jesus taught. That makes me scared for their souls, sad for their physical lives and disappointed in their shallow friendship.
Creator, forgive them. They do not realize what they did.
+++++++
This Lent I am being led on a pilgrimage. I do not yet know if it is from persecution or to suffering or through both. Nevertheless the journey has begun.

Thank you. Someday, as it says, and what a glorious day that will be when injustice is replaced with undiluted love, when pain is not even a memory because it is replaced with being in the presence of Jesus face-to-face.

I agree, but those who suck up to the religion get away with murder, rape, brutality, contempt…And since it is the religious who would be authorized to remove the unfit, they stay. I served Jesus and was forced out, banished and slandered. Justice? But God loves me, so I remain at

Agreed. A couple of years ago I went through a process where God was breaking off the old – the old traditions of men, the formalism, legalism, the way things had always been – and bringing me into the new plans He had for me. It was painful, but was necessary for me. He gave me this scripture: Isaiah 43: 18-21 and I believe He wants me to share it with you. God bless you

For you brother: James 1:12 – Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
In regards to crimes of child abuse, animal abuse, rape, (child molestation, sexual assault, incest are all forms of rape) I feel that those who cover up the abuse or turn a blind eye to it are just as guilty as the one’s committing the crimes and should be punished to the same degree on earth as they will be in Heaven.
In regards to those in a position of leadership, God holds a minister and the leaders of the church to a higher standard (James 3:1 is an example). He has given us high standards to use in determining who is qualified to be a leader (1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9). These two passages refer to the qualifications of church leaders who are biblically called elders. When a pastor or a leader violates these standards, they are no longer qualified to continue in their role. These qualifications include his moral character, his relationship to his family, his ability to be a good manager, HIS KNOWLEDGE OF GODS WORD, and he must be gifted or skilled in teaching. If he fails here he is to be removed from being the pastor or as a leader.

Thanks for your comment. As they say, “Sad, but true.” Discipleship, the Cross, “lay down your life for your friends”, evangelism and such seem to be rare in western Christianity.
