Hardship

I am struggling intellectually and emotionally with suffering. This helps:

Patience in hardship
builds up potential
for joy to bloom.

This Lent I am being led on a pilgrimage. I do not yet know if it is from persecution or to suffering or through both. Nevertheless the journey has begun.

God is indeed good to us, even when we don’t wait! But when we do wait the joy and peace exceeds our hopes. Your poem was what I was waiting for (though I didn’t know it) to complete a thought. How good (God 🙂 ) is that?

Thank you for sharing my little poem. I wrote it because I’ve learned the hard way that I only rob myself of joy when I get impatient in trials. God is good– even in our hardships.
