While we might curse the crises that upset our lives and threaten our health, we are nonetheless forced by such problems to go deeper to derive meaning from them in an unstable world. Finally, we may be able to respond as Emerson responded when a man told him that the end of the world was imminent. Emerson calmly replied, “I can live without it.”

We are as brave as God needs us to be in our circumstances. I remember reading Corrie ten Boom on this, that God doesn’t give us courage until we need it. Then, God be glorified, Paraclete will guide us through. A baby in its Father’s arms doesn’t worry about the floor – the Father does that!
Peace
