Like a seed this opening sentence took root in my soul months ago, and only today did it bear fruit.

Quarry, Machu Picchu, Peru: sky and clouds meet mountain and earth

Quarry, Machu Picchu, Peru: sky and clouds meet mountain and earth

I have never touched the sky,
but I have climbed above the clouds.
I have never stood in heav’n,
but I have heard some heav’nly sounds.

God’s wind blows across the earth.
My breath I breathe for Christ alone.
Spirit comforts and corrects.
These three become in me as One.

I will live on earth for now
And speak of God’s unfailing love.
Under clouds and under sky
My hope knows angels far above.
