I do not have an answer to every question about how God works. Actually, I think most of that kind of pursuit comes close to worthless. I don’t want an answer; I want a life!

When “Judas” has betrayed me, friends abandoned me, racists derailed me, religious agents heaped contempt on me, when my career and calling have been ripped away by power that knows no love I am not looking for answers to soothe my brain. I want a reason, a cause and a purpose to keep going.

Terry Fox, a great Canadian example of running the race of life

Humans may block my path, but only God can take my breath away!

“Since we are surrounded by so many examples {of faith}, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up. We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God. Think about Jesus, who endured opposition from sinners, so that you don’t become tired and give up” (Hebrews 12:1-3 God’s Word italics added).

1.    Get rid of useless weight and distractions.
2.    Run the race, don’t crawl the mall.
3.    Focus on Jesus, who endured, won and is still there for us.
4.    Think about Jesus to prevent victim fatigue.

Don’t give up. Don’t give in to those who would steal your joy and life. Live the full life Jesus gives – one breath at a time, if necessary.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I [Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10 English Standard Version).
