God gives each of us all we need to do our spiritual work. Why is enough not enough?

Doing-Gods-workIt doesn’t help my work to know the plans God has for evangelists in Australia, Pastors in Tanzania, doctors in Liberia or seminary teachers in the Philippines! So why is it not enough to know what God wants me to do?

“I planted, and Apollos watered, but God made it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is important because {only} God makes it grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have the same goal, and each will receive a reward for his own work. We are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field. You are God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:6-9 God’s Word©).

This is Labour Day weekend, a good time to focus on our work and not our comfort.

“After this, the Lord appointed 70 other disciples to go ahead of him to every city and place that he intended to go. They were to travel in pairs. He told them, ‘The harvest is large, but the workers are few. So ask the Lord who gives this harvest to send workers to harvest his crops’ “ (Luke 10:1-2 God’s Word©).

GodsWorkLet God be enough for you.

“So, then, brothers and sisters, don’t let anyone move you off the foundation {of your faith}. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless” (1 Corinthians 15:58 God’s Word©).
