Two things have recently happened in Canada (one in Ontario, specifically) to remind the faithful followers of Jesus that we are in a battle for souls. This is not a game; it is a life and death struggle.
Last week the Supreme Court of Canada ruled, in a specific challenge based on the laws of the Province of Quebec, that prayer may not be used in municipal government meetings. Councils across Canada are now, based on this judgment, eliminating prayer, practiced since at least 1867.
In Ontario the issue is a new curriculum for sex education. Students will be taught the validity of same sex relationships and how to masturbate as well as the good things like the dangers of the internet and the correct names for body parts. The curriculum first rose under an official who is now in court charged with sexual offences. It was revived, after it was first shelved, by our Premier who lives an alternative lifestyle. It is difficult not to assume that personal agenda lies beneath the lesson plans.
“Finally, receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength. Put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way you can take a stand against the devil’s strategies. This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world. For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles, you will be able to stand your ground” (Ephesians 6:10-13God’s Word©).
“How can we so comfortably live for ourselves while millions slip into an eternal hell? We can do it because our enemy has managed to replace our purpose as a Christian with a desire for comfort and self-realization” (K. P. Yohannan, “Reflecting His Image; The Beauty of Following Christ Intimately”, 1998, page. 29)
So, starting in September 2015 it will all right for the state to teach an anti-religious version of sex, but our politicians can’t pray at public meetings. It would be easier if terrorists were here slaughtering Christians; that would be obvious persecution. The subtle kind gets ignored. And the real losers are the lost and backsliders.

We have a glorious Gospel and I know you focus on that David, at the same time what a government is putting on the masses is painful and thus we speak.
I so agree with your last three statements. So good, I am repeating.

The Devil is very sly. He finally figured out how to take us down without abrupt change in USA and Canada–Europe and Australia to name a few. Sometimes I feel helpless. I want to show love and I do try to but at the same time it is so hard to just give the godless agendas a pass.
We pray for one another and reach those around us!

I know; it leaves one almost speechless, but some of us keep speaking anyway!

…and yet much of the Church of Christ is sound asleep in the West! It is truly awful what is happening in public schools. Oh Lord, rend the heavens and come down!

In all things we trust God to do the work God intends, but if only the faithful would see that we are in it up to our ears-to-hear!

This saddens me, and yet I rejoice that “soon and very soon we are going to see the King.” “All these things must come to pass.”
Blessings dear brother in Christ ~ Wendy ❀
